Music won’t be music if we deduct the contributions of colored musicians from it. The history of music is full of black artist who devoted their entire life to make music what it is at the moment. Some of them had to face discriminations and difficulties because of their color but they never gave up and they are the reason why music is widely celebrated now.

4. Jimi Hendrix

Jimi was more of a magician than a singer, what he did with his voice and a guitar was much more than just music.

His fight to make Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday a holiday and then his other campaigns which he did for the rights of people have written his name in the list of most influential artists of all time. He was also named as the United Nation Messenger of Peace in 2009.

He was blind by birth but he had vision, a vision to change the world, which he did, by music and by fighting for the right.

It won’t be wrong if we say Prince had the most melodious voice ever heard on this planet. He knew how to take a heart away, his blend of funk, rock and dance make him different from the other artists. He has won 7 Grammy’s and six American Music Awards, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

The world can never forget his voice and he is the reason why singers like Bruno Mars and Drake stepped up into music. He’s an inspiration for millions and his songs provide the peace which cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
