It is no longer news that Rihanna’s fans have been expecting the release of her next studio album. The pop star has promised different release dates in the past only to later cancel such dates thereby truncating the hopes of her passionate fan base. In spite of all that, fans are still eagerly expecting her first album since 2015.
It is worth stating that Rihanna’s fans have something to cheer about. The superstar musician and businesswoman appeared as the cover of Vogue magazine and she also discussed a lot of issues including her forthcoming album. With the increasing number of business ventures that the Barbadian icon has got to manage, she was asked if she is thinking of putting music on hold. She strongly insisted that music remains her first love and that she will continue making music.
“Oh, nooo. Music is, like, speaking in code to the world, where they get it. It’s the weird language that connects me to them. Me the designer, me the woman who creates makeup and lingerie — it all started with music. It was my first pen pal-ship to the world. To cut that off is to cut my communication off. All of these other things flourish on top of that foundation.”
So proud to be on another cover of @voguemagazine wearing my own designs from @FentyOfficial !!! On stands October 16th!

She went further to speak with the interviewers on the infusion of reggae in her next album. “I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album. It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks, ” she said.
” Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or the environment that I grew up in; it never leaves. It’s always the same high. Even though I’ve explored other genres of music, it was time to go back to something that I haven’t really homed in on completely for a body of work.” She said.
She was quizzed about the release date and she hinted that the question might heighten the level of the fans’ expectation. While nodding and smiling she said: “No, oh my God, they’re gonna kill you for that! And they’re going to kill me more! I’m talking the Navy — my scary fans. But they’ve earned it. They got me here.” We can look forward to an album from the pop star very soon.
